Benefits

WHEN CONSUMED

When made into a gelatin-like consistency and added to foods like; smoothies, apple sauce, coffee, tea, prepared meals etc., sea moss can soothe the respiratory tract and digestive tract. The best way to consume is to take it straight. If mixed double your one serving size to two scoops. It doesn't have much flavor, so it should just contribute to creating a thick texture when added in food, smoothies etc. Sea moss is a mucilaginous food, which mucus-like texture (sticky, thick) can double as a remedy for irritation. Sea moss can tend to act like a soluble fiber which keeps you feel full and helps stool move through the GI tract. Sea moss is also a prebiotic that helps further support digestion.

Although low in calories—49 per 100g, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)—sea moss is loaded with key minerals such as folate, which is essential for prenatal health and development. It's also high in iodine. Iodine helps the thyroid run properly and make thyroid hormones, which regulate metabolism, encourage bone and brain development during pregnancy and infancy, among many other important functions.

Also, because sea moss is high in immune-boosting nutrients like iron, magnesium, phosphorus, and zinc, it may also support the immune system and help you fight off cold and flu symptoms.

Used topically:

Sea moss offers antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, which means it can help with issues like acne and aging skin. Sea moss is rich in sulfur, which is known to lower levels of microorganisms on the skin and soothe inflammation. Sea moss also contains vitamins and minerals like magnesium, vitamin A, vitamin K, and omega-3 fatty acids, which help to hydrate and promote healthy skin cell function

HOW TO USE

One-two tablespoon when you first wake up and one mid-day/before bed is suggested. You can take it straight but if the texture or slight seamoss taste bothers you I suggest mixing it with apple sauce, smoothies, tea, coffee, cooking with it etc. Stay consistent and pay close attention to your body. I’m very confident  that you’ll notice all kinds of positive changes. Our bodies don’t function properly when dehydrated, so make sure to drink plenty of water as well!

To use topically Wash area then apply thin layer of seamoss on face or skin. Let dry for 10-15 min or longer. Wash with water then apply a good moisturizer. Also a great hair mask.

One jar should last you 7-10 days of use if a minimum of 2 tablespoons a day is taken consistently. Please remember consistency is key.

Shelf life/storing sea moss:

The texture will be a little looser upon arrival. You will keep your jars stored in the refrigerator.

Shelf life is atleast 4 weeks in the refrigerator and up to 6 months in the freezer (in freezer safe container).
